What is Gestalt Therapy and Existentialism?

Gestalt-therapy takes into account 3 pillars:

1. Context in which we relate:

Our experience is lived in a special and relational context. It is in the here-now that we put most of our attention, even though in some moments we can reflect on the there-then, past or future. It is in the relationship with us, with others and with the world that we can put meaning in our experiences.

2. Phenomenology- existential:

Pheno what? I know, it looks very confusing. But it is not. In general, it means that we seek to understand the facts of life through observation, description, contextualization and the search for personal meaning, finding ways to understand the challenges they pose for us.

3. Dialogue:

A specific form of contact (not just conversation) that is concerned with the medium of the relationship and what arises in that medium. It is, for example, that special moment when we are with a person and we feel accepted, understood and respected.

In my work, these 3 pillars are intertwined with each other, building a network that sustains the relationship in a safe and efficient way so that we can ask the pertinent questions and be mature to know how to understand the answers.

Each client is important to me and I strive to help them find the answers they are looking for. Since 2000, I have worked with different types of patients experiencing unique circumstances in their lives.
